Common questions

How many guests can participate?

Two stations support approximately 20–24 attempts per hour and up to 100 event guests across a 5–6 hour activation.

Do guests need experience or FPV goggles?

No. Guests use standard controllers without FPV goggles, and every participant receives a short briefing before the attempt.

What size venue and setup time are required?

Indoors, allow at least 3 × 6 m. Outdoors, allow at least 8 × 12 m for the working zone, tent and guy lines. We need access approximately one hour before operation.

Can the Drone Zone operate outdoors in changing weather?

Yes, with level ground, electricity and a compliant indoor backup. If weather makes flight impossible and no safe indoor option is available, the activation is cancelled due to force majeure and Drone Party Montreal refunds the deposit.

How are safety and insurance handled?

Two instructors supervise the zone. We inspect the venue and equipment, brief every guest, use DJI Neo drones with integrated propeller guards and carry $2 million in liability insurance.

What is included, and can the zone be branded?

Both stations, instructors, equipment, 5–6 hours of operation, setup, pack-down, safety controls and insurance are included. Branding, custom challenges and prizes are quoted separately.

Can the activation be bilingual, and how is travel calculated?

Yes. It can run in English, French or both. Travel is included in Montreal, Laval and Longueuil; outside these cities it is $0.50/km.

How do booking and rescheduling work?

After the date and venue are approved, a $300 deposit confirms the booking. Rescheduling is subject to availability; after three reschedules, a new booking and deposit are required.
